Ink Your Thoughts is a project for Digital Humanities, a course that I took in my current semester.
Objective:
Ink Your Thoughts, in association with Search English, will work to encourage people to practice English writing.
Why writing?
Most of the people in Bangladesh communicate in Bengali language. Barring few organizations i.e. NGOs, MNCs, universities, English is not spoken widely. Hence, the scope of speaking English is very limited. On the contrary, English writing is very important. Students who wish to pursue higher education, start business, or have successful careers in public or private sector must have good writing skills in English. In university, they have to read English books and write in English in examinations. They have to submit their assignments and research articles in English. They have to write their CVs and resumes in English. In the job, they have to write in English frequently.
Secondly, writing is a very complex task. One must read and listen a lot to become a good writer improving their reading and listening skills which, in turn, improves their speaking skill as well.
From Thoughts to Script will publish posts from Search English regularly. In addition, members of Search English who are interested to write for the website can also submit their writing.
